   <i>
    tl;dr -
   </i>
   <i>
    <u>
     The Collect workspace
    </u>
   </i>
   <i>
    is now a
   </i>
   <i>
    <strong>
     flat $5/member/mo
    </strong>
   </i>
   <i>
    – with no annual commitment, even if you don't use the Expensify Card!
   </i>
  </p>
  <p>
   When Expensify launched "expense reports that don't suck!" 15 years ago, it was groundbreaking in a few ways:
  </p>
  <ul>
   <li>
    We were the
    <strong>
     very first expense reporting mobile app
    </strong>
    . There was a hot minute where there was an "expense" category in the app store, and we were the
    <i>
     only option available
    </i>
    .
   </li>
  </ul>
  <ul>
   <li>
    We were the first expense management solution to offer
    <strong>
     integrated receipt scanning
    </strong>
    . The "state of the art" of the competition was to
    <i>
     fax
    </i>
    receipts in… shudder.
   </li>
  </ul>
  <ul>
   <li>
    But perhaps the most important was that
    <strong>
     we introduced the $5 price point
    </strong>
    , and let you buy it without talking to a salesperson.
   </li>
  </ul>
  <p>
   That last point isn't talked about much, but was pretty radical. Enterprise software then (and now) is like buying a used car: nobody can give you a straight answer on what it'll cost, and you always feel like someone else is getting a better deal. We were one of the first enterprise tools that allowed you to buy and fully configure every feature yourself,
   <strong>
    without forcing you to negotiate for the best price
   </strong>
   .
  </p>
  <p>
  </p>
  <p>
   <strong>
    Expensify has come a long way.
   </strong>
  </p>
  <p>
   Since then we have grown, a lot. Our
   <strong>
    average customer has increased in size
   </strong>
   dramatically, and now we support large multinational customers with tens of thousands of employees. To support these larger companies, we've added setup specialists, account managers, and a Control plan with a million sophisticated features to support every possible global configuration.
  </p>
  <p>
   In particular, to support the diversity of these larger customers,
   <strong>
    our pricing got kind of complicated
   </strong>
   . We added "active user pricing", which only bills for the specific employees who are active in a given month (which for larger companies is usually a third of the company as a whole – a different third every month, but rarely more than that). We added discounts for committing to an annual subscription, and even more discounts for using the Expensify Card.
  </p>
  <p>
   All these features work great for a larger, more sophisticated customer, to dial in the exact right price for any given configuration. But it's created a lot of
   <strong>
    confusion for our smaller customers
   </strong>
   that just want something simple.
  </p>
  <p>
  </p>
  <p>
   <strong>
    SMBs are still the heart of our company.
   </strong>
  </p>
  <p>
   Well, I'm happy to say we're bringing it back to basics, by updating our Collect plan to be a
   <strong>
    flat $5 per member, per month
   </strong>
   . No need to make an annual commitment, no need to adopt the Expensify Card (though you still should in order to get cash back…). Just plain and simple pricing, like the good ole' days. This new, simplified pricing will go into effect for all customers who signed up
   <strong>
    after April 1st, 2025
   </strong>
   . (Because it's flat pricing, and not active seat pricing, existing customers who sign up prior to that date are not affected.)
  </p>
  <p>
  </p>
  <p>
   <strong>
    International customers, this is especially great for you.
   </strong>
  </p>
  <p>
   We think everyone will appreciate this simpler price, but it is particularly good for international customers who were previously unable to get the Expensify Card discount. This means the "all in" price for Expensify is now approximately
   <strong>
    2-4x cheaper for international customers
   </strong>
   than before, and more in line with the price enjoyed by US customers:
  </p>
  <ul>
   <li>
    <strong>
     $5/mo USD
    </strong>
    in the US
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     £5/mo GBP
    </strong>
    in the UK
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     $8/mo AUD
    </strong>
    in Australia
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     $9/mo NZD
    </strong>
    in New Zealand
   </li>
  </ul>
  <p>
   And in case this wasn't already clear, this is for the
   <strong>
    full Collect plan
   </strong>
   , which includes:
  </p>
  <ul>
   <li>
    Unlimited SmartScans and distance tracking
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     Expensify Cards
    </strong>
    with Smart Limits
   </li>
   <li>
    Bill pay and invoicing
   </li>
   <li>
    Expense approvals
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     Third-party card feeds
    </strong>
    and reconciliation
   </li>
   <li>
    Next-day ACH and global reimbursement
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     QuickBooks Online
    </strong>
    and Xero sync
   </li>
   <li>
    Gusto and Zenefits sync
   </li>
   <li>
    <strong>
     Expensify Travel
    </strong>
   </li>
   <li>
    Expensify Chat
   </li>
  </ul>
  <p>
   That's… quite a lot for $5/mo per member. So we're going back to 2010 pricing, but with 2025 functionality, and I'd be honored if you came along for the ride.
