           Learn basic methods of Renaissance drawing with teaching artist Pamela Lawton and gain experience working with materials such as chalk and ink. After a series of warm-up exercises in the studio, use chalk to capture the light and shadow of drapery during a life drawing exercise. Next, visit the galleries and discover the Renaissance technique of using a viewfinder to draw 3D objects with sculptures in The Met collection. Then, return to the studio to complete your drawing with ink. All skill levels welcome; exercises and tips will be provided to accommodate a range of learners.
