   Hey Fred,
   <br/>
   <br/>
   My colleague Emily just wrote about an incredible moment from our time visiting a community in Tanzania without access to clean water (yet).
   <b>
    I’m passing that story along to you below
   </b>
   because of not only the way it stuck with our team, but because it simply could not have happened without
   <i>
    you
   </i>
   .
   <br/>
   <br/>
   I hope you’ll take a moment to read it. And if it moves you the way it moved us, I also hope you’ll consider donating to help fund an estimated 22 clean water projects before June 30 – so more families can share stories of change like this one. You can do so at

   Hi Fred,
   <br/>
   <br/>
   Is there a story passed down within your family? What’s it about? What does it mean to you?
   <br/>
   <br/>
   <i>
    Right now
   </i>
   , thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, the hope of clean water to come is writing a story in a village in rural Tanzania that will be passed down from this generation to the next.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   At the end of May, I had the opportunity to travel to Tanzania to experience our mission at work. Several hours outside Dodoma, Tanzania’s capital, we visited one of our local partners and a community that does not yet have access to clean water.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   As we walked to the village’s water source, a murky pond shared with livestock, a member of our group drifted toward the back of the crowd that moved with us. From where she stood, she observed a trio of mothers, all with babies on their backs, who were murmuring amongst themselves.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   <b>
    With curiosity and respect, our colleague approached the women and asked, “Mothers, why are you here? Why are you walking with us?
   </b>
   Shouldn’t you be home? Maybe you have to cook for your children and feed your family. Maybe you have to fetch water. Maybe you have a full day of household chores. Why are you here?”
   <br/>
   <br/>
   The women stopped her.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   “No, no, no,” they said.
   <i>
    This
   </i>
   was where they needed to be. “We’ve been waiting many years for this change, and now, it is coming. Our children and families have been suffering from different diseases, and we believe this clean water will save our lives.
   <b>
    We are here because we want to witness
    <i>
     this moment
    </i>
    , the moment before everything changes — so that we can share it with our children and their children and their children.”
   </b>
   <br/>
   <br/>
   “We are excited and full of hope,” the women continued. “We cannot just sit at home. We want to observe, we want to see, we want to share the stories of the change clean water will bring.”
   <br/>
   <br/>
   This community has not seen the work of our local partner.
   <b>
    They don’t know what their clean water project — slated to begin during the second half of this year — will look like, but they believe in the change it will bring.
   </b>
   <br/>
   <br/>
   <b>
    And it’s your generous support that makes moments like this possible.
   </b>
   Moments where hope hangs on the horizon. Moments where hundreds of community members pause their daily routines because they know how access to clean water will change their lives — and their families and communities — for generations to come.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   <b>
    As we close out the first half of 2025, we’re raising funds for an estimated 22 clean water projects for communities like this village in Tanzania.
   </b>
   Our local partners have identified the need, and implementation plans are in place. We just need the funding to bring these projects to life, and we’re working to fill those critical gaps by the end of June, as we send funds from the first half of the year to the field in July.
   <br/>
   <br/>

   <br/>
   Thank you for believing in the change that clean water brings and for supporting our mission to end the global water crisis.
   <b>
    We’re grateful you’re part of our story and the stories that will be passed down from one generation to the next in communities around the world.
   </b>
   And who knows, maybe your generosity —

   <br/>
   With heartfelt gratitude,

    While the community we visited does not yet have access to clean water, their clean water project is slated to begin during the second half of this year. They're set to receive a solar-powered piped water system, similar to the one pictured here from another community outside Dodoma, Tanzania.
