                   My teen just joined Instagram. She's asked to sign up previously (and I've said no), but this summer, she participated in an exciting program that asked to tag her in a video that she felt proud of. I decided to consider it again.

                   Social media + teens = anxiety-provoking. I needed to do some thinking first. 🧐 Then we needed to discuss it together. We created her account, went through the settings, and agreed we'd keep communicating about it. But the process brought

For example, we say "Look both ways!" over and over until, one day, they do it themselves. 💡 My teen has had the distinct pleasure of discussing media and tech for the last decade as a side effect of my job. 😅 But most caregivers and educators don't spend their days immersed in this world.
