                 was born and raised in Arctic Norway. For 25 years, he has been working with polar expeditions in the archipelago of Svalbard. After leading hiking and skiing trips, as well as glacier traverses, he started focusing on shipborne expedition voyages in both polar regions. Jørn co-authored the Norwegian Polar Institute’s

                  Cruise Handbook for Svalbard
                 </em>
                 and has also been working to improve the industry standards of expedition cruising as a member of the executive committee of the International Association of Antarctic Cruise Operators (IAATO) and as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO).
