              However, if that complex system is transplanted onto a new device without warning, it can be disorienting. It would be like teleporting a car going 100mph on the freeway instantly into a garage. Unless the new conditions are exactly identical, it could 
result in a crash.

               This can happen for a few reasons...

              • Restoring your Apple Health data
              <em>
               while Gyroscope is syncing
              </em>
              can cause millions of new items to try and get saved as they all get rewritten. Depending on the size of your backup, this can either cause unnecessary load or even crash the app.
              <br/>
              • If you want to restore your Apple Health data (which is not needed for Gyroscope purposes) onto a new phone, we suggest letting that complete
              <em>
               first
              </em>
              before turning on Gyroscope’s health sync feature.
              <br/>
              • Necessary permissions like Location or Apple Health may not always transfer over when you restore your phone. Setting it up again and turning those all on in the install process will make sure everything continues tracking on the new phone without loss of accuracy or gaps in data.
              <br/>
              • If the app is just running in the background but not used for many days, that can also cause gaps in the tracking as iOS stops giving it resources.
             </span>
