                      people mover. In between, I’ve driven a series of cars, each slightly more reliable than the last in line with my capacity to pay.

                      This week I wanted to resurface my post, and celebrate the life of a kind, generous and unfailingly helpful man who served the same community for many decades with honesty and skill.

                      There’s not a lot of glamor in service roles, but there can be meaning, respect, and community. That’s the good stuff of human life. The next time my car needs servicing it will be someone different. But whoever it is, they’ll have a high bar to get over as a tradesman, and as a person.
