                    Great question. I actively use about five channels: product, bugs, administrative, planning, compliance, and two top level contexts: work and personal. Overall, I try not to sweat it too much and as long as it's in the right top level context to start #work or #personal it solves most of my problems.
                    <br/>

                    I use my channels to try and understand where I am spending my time in a week broadly. These roughly line up with my "themes" for each day of the week. In the past, I tried to be more granular breaking down my personal into exercise vs family vs other things or breaking product into other things like each project. Ultimately, that's a never ending problem of how precisely to describe things and you start getting carried away and spending more time thinking about that then you should. The longer I've used Sunsama, going on 6-7 years in this iteration, the more I believe in less channels. If you happen to categorize a bunch of tasks this week as #admin but later realize you really should have categorized them as #finance and #facilities separately, you can always go back and adjust this week's tasks. The reality is you will likely never do that so just use (or at least start with) less channels.
