   This weekend, I celebrated my 50th birthday, exactly 19 years after charity: water began. We started out back in 2006, as I threw my 31st birthday party in New York City asking friends to donate $20 at the door. Together, we raised enough to fund our very first well — and afterward, I sent photos, GPS coordinates, and stories back to everyone who gave.

   From day one, proof has been at the heart of charity: water. And 19 years later, supporters like you have funded 186,026 water projects, each one proved and tracked on our website.
