       Fred: We will get straight to the point – the severity of attacks on fundamental freedoms nationwide cannot be overstated. President Trump and other opponents of civil liberties are unrelenting in their attacks on our freedoms.

       President Donald Trump and his administration are:
      </p>
      <ol>
       <li>
        Targeting immigrants' rights with attempts to expand expedited removals and end birthright citizenship
       </li>
       <li>
        Attempting to erase transgender people in the eyes of the federal law and ban gender-affirming care
       </li>
       <li>
        Arresting international students and scholars for speaking freely
       </li>
       <li>
        Providing DOGE, the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, with unfettered access to people's private data
       </li>
       <li>
        Bullying and coercing states – using federal funding as a bargaining chip – that don't comply with his agenda
       </li>
      </ol>
      <p>
       <strong>
        But the ACLU was ready on day one, and we remain steadfast in this fight.
       </strong>
