   Hi Fred,
   <br/>
   <br/>
   Over the last nine years, I’ve learned that the work of ending the water crisis is grounded in simple, yet profound, choices: people choosing to care for one another, people deciding to give generously, and people working together to solve complex problems. The choice to act with heart and intention — multiplied across countless supporters, partners, and communities — makes progress possible, even in uncertainty.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   As we rally around that idea this month, I want to tell you about one of the most powerful examples of shared commitment that I’ve seen with one of our longest-standing partnerships.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   charity: water has been working in Ethiopia since 2007 and partnering with the Relief Society of Tigray (REST) since 2008. Over nearly two decades, our shared trust has allowed us to invest not only in new water projects but also in the systems that keep clean water flowing. This includes Wahis Mai, REST’s rural maintenance program that ensures long-term functionality across an expansive region home to several million hardworking people.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   When conflict broke out in Tigray from 2020 to 2022, expanding water access wasn’t possible, but maintaining and restoring it became essential. So we redirected active programming to focus on these urgent needs.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   The REST team showed up with remarkable compassion and courage. They risked dangerous roads to deliver spare parts; repaired broken water points so families could survive; and chose, time and again, to care for their neighbors, no matter the cost.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   Stories like this one in Ethiopia don’t happen because of any single person or partner — they happen because a whole community chooses to care. And you’re part of that community. Your generosity is the reason our partners can keep water flowing in the hardest moments.
   <br/>
   <br/>
   <b>
    Together, that same commitment can help us reach even more people this December.
   </b>
   As we enter the final month of 2025, will you join us in funding clean water for 50,000 more people? Your gift this December can be the reason a family gets clean water for the first time — and why that water keeps flowing for years to come. You can give today at
