       It would require you to produce citizenship paperwork in person just to register to vote, effectively end accessibility measures like online voter registration, and severely restrict vote-by-mail.

       You'd need to travel to an election office to present your birth certificate, passport, or naturalization papers just to register or update your registration – documents tens of millions of Americans don't have easy access to. If you changed your name for any reason, like after getting married, you'd need to update those documents to match to avoid additional barriers – forcing you to pay up to hundreds of dollars for a multi-week process just to get the papers to register to vote.
      </p>

       This is voter suppression, plain and simple. President Trump and the proponents of the

        Save
       </span>
       Act want to make it as hard as possible for you to vote – and we can't let them get away with it.
