will at least double the maximum size of its liquidity support buyback operations for longer-dated government bonds, lifting the per-operation cap from $2 billion to at least $4 billion starting Sept. 9. The move sent the 10-year yield down 6 basis points and the 30-year down 9 basis points. It comes after the 30-year bond hit a 19-year high Tuesday, with long-dated Treasuries under sustained pressure from persistent inflation and a record July federal deficit of $432 billion.
